Beyond The Spectacular Yogyakarta Tour
Pleasure yourself to the beauty of Yogyakarta, the city of the Javanese Kingdoms. On this 5 days 4 nights tour, you will observe the subtleties of the city while also spend leisure recreation time.
DAY 1 YOGYAKARTA CITY
Upon arrival at Yogyakarta, you will meet our friendly guide who will be standing by at the airport to pick you up and directly transfer you to Manohara Hotel via Godean Village (rice fields view, villages, etc). It will take about 1,5 hours of drive to your hotel. On the way, you can see the village landscape from your vehicle. As you arrive to the hotel, you will be checked in by our guide. The rest of the day is leisure time, you might as well rest and prepare for the next days of the tour.
DAY 2 BOROBUDUR SUNRISE – MERAPI/MERBABU VALLEY
You will get a morning call at 04:00 AM – and we will start our tour by visiting the infamous temple of Borobudur. We will walk until the top of Arupadhatu Buddha Statue. When you reach the top, wait for a while and witness the dramatic and exotic view of the sunrise. Take a deep breath of fresh morning air, admire the beautiful panorama of the ‘thousand hills’. After the fascinating view, you will be led by your guide to learn Buddha philosophy by exploring the relieves on Borobudur Temple. You will head back just before breakfast to have the meal at your hotel. We check out at 10.00 AM, and then we will drive to Mendut and Plaosan Temple, not too far from Borobudur. After spending some time at the two Buddha Temples, you will have lunch at a local restaurant nearby. Than we continue the drive to Solo, via Selo – Boyolali, passing through Mt. Merapi and Mt. Merbabu valley with a good view of the whole montain. Several stops can be possibly made to record the fascinating scenary on camera of handycam. Upon arrival at Solo city, you will be directly checked in by our guide to Sahid Raya Solo / Sahid Kusuma Hotel. Take this leisure time to rest and prepare for the next day.
DAY 3 SUKUH – CETHO – SANGIRAN
In the morning after breakfast, we will proceed by traveling through the lovely countryside of the city to discover the mystery of the 14th century Sukuh Temple. Next, we go on up scenic, Winding Mountain road to another 14th century Hindu temple at Cetho to enjoy the beauty of its peaceful surroundings. Sukuh and Cetho Temple is a fifteenth century Javanese Hindu temple situated about 900 meters above sea level. They are located on the slopes of Mount Lawu , on the border line between Central Java and East Java Province. After viewing the historical temples in Solo, we continue Sangiran where fossilized remains of Phitecantropus Erectus (Java Man) were found: the discovery that is claimed until now as the oldest human remains in Java. We will also visit the museum, which displays fossilized remains of archeological items such as Stegadon tusks and teeth, and visit the site of excavation. After the museum, we will head back to the hotel hotel and have an evening drive to a local restaurant for dinner.
DAY 4 SOLO – PRAMBANAN
The fourth day of the tour is the Solo sightseeing tour. We will visit the most famous tourism sites in Solo such as Keraton Mangkunegaran, Triwindu Flea Market, and Radya Pustaka Museum. You may choose to visit other sites as long as it’s still in the area of Solo. We will have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we will drive to Yogyakarta and on the way we will make a visit to the ancient Prambanan temple. After tracing through the temple, we will continue the drive to Jogja while also checkin in to Jogjakarta Plaza Hotel.
DAY 5 YOGYA SOUL – TRANSFER OUT
In the morning after breakfast, we continue the last day of the tour by strolling through the city of Yogyakarta. Visit historical sites such as Keraton Yogyakarta, Taman Sari, Ngasem Bird Market, Vredeburg Fortress and much more. You will also be informed of the history of Yogyakarta and each of the sites by the guide. As they say, other than the history of the city and structures itself, Yogyakarta is also famous for its culture. And until now, the residents of the city still preserve the culture very well. After viewing historical sites accompanied by information about the culture, we will have lunch at a local restuarnt. The tour ends after you are dropped at airport to take you flight home.
